Basquiat Tribute

The "Basquiat Tribute" painting was my tribute to the prolific artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. It was my first time exploring using paint as a primary medium in my work. Still, I found that freeform yet intentional expression through the strokes of the paintbrush allowed me to tap into a specific mentality centered on exploration and freedom. The "Basquiat Tribute" painting inspired multiple forms of displaying the art piece, like on crewnecks, t-shirts, and even lapel pins for others to enjoy. This painting also served as part of the original logo for Divine Enthusiast.
